Diegnan & Lampitt: ' Don't Let the Light Go Out of the NJ STARS Program'
Assemblyman Patrick J. Diegnan Jr. and Assemblywoman Pamela R. Lampitt had the following op-ed published on www.newjerseynewsroom.com:
"Governor Chris Christie's budget cuts are causing tremendous pain in school districts throughout our state. They also are negatively impacting the ability of the children of hard-working middle class families to attend college.
"The governor has cut over $200 million from our public colleges so far and, compounding this egregious action, he intends to stop funding the most successful scholarship program in our state: the New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship — more commonly known as NJ STARS…"
